About Melanie
Melanie DiPasquale is a Process & Project Manager at Lichen Consulting Inc. Since joining Lichen in 2022, she has proven to be a highly motivated team player, with unique talents in developing processes using creative problem solving to produce effective and streamlined work for clients.
Melanie collaboratively delivers process optimization services, while consistently ensuring a positive experience. She is an efficient organizer who contributes to Lichen’s overall effectiveness and growth through process standardization and implementation, identifying and implementing software solutions, internal project management, and internal and external communications. She is also providing these services to select clients.
Melanie has 15 years of experience working in project coordination, management, and administration, predominantly in the non-profit and culture sectors. On a daily basis, she has honed her skills in project management, process management, board governance, fundraising, marketing, communications, and graphic design.
She began her career working for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in a variety of roles. Having started her tenure within the film programming team, she then transitioned to working closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Office before finishing her time at TIFF working with the marketing and creative teams as a Production Manager. With TIFF, Melanie developed her skills in executive administration, project management, board governance, and communications, and she also instituted improved systems for departmental deadline tracking, stakeholder sign-off, presentation development, and board communications.
She honed her skills in fundraising while working as the Executive Assistant to the CEO for Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. During her tenure, she reviewed departmental procedures and found efficiencies by implementing project management software and effective processes.
Melanie completed a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Arts Administration at the University of Toronto. She also holds certificates in graphic design from George Brown College and project management from the University of California, Irvine. Melanie is currently completing Project Management Professional Certification coursework at Dalhousie University.
Melanie has first-hand experience in the transformational and community-building effects art and culture can have on everyday life. Over the last few years Melanie has lived in multiple Canadian cities and now calls Halifax home. In her free time she enjoys crafting, knitting, and participating in book clubs, as well as exploring the East Coast with her partner.
